Timothy Earl Jr is about the vulnerability and transparency of men and woman that follow Jesus Christ. Millions of people attend church in the U.S. but many feel crippled by their past and present sin. Yes, sin is crippling, but the lie is that you’ll never be free from it, you’ll never grow past it, and surely God can’t use someone as messed up as you are. In the past, I’ve viewed upper echelon Christians and thought well surely God is pleased with them and they have it figured out. Sister, brother, we are loved by God, it’s only by His grace that anyone comes to know Him and becomes known by Him.
Timothy Earl Jr is just me starting with my own transparency, so here it goes…
Timothy: Was not the cool name of my generation growing up. It wasn’t a Shawn, or Michael, or Rahkeem…it was very vanilla and boring. I hated it.
Earl: nuff said.
Jr: Only reminded me of a gaping hole in my life.
These insecurities no longer define who I am. Likewise, your insecurities do not have to define who you are!
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
